Acting 7-13 Years

This year's course is based around Tweflth Night. Following a shipwreck, twins Viola and Sebastian are separated, with each assuming the other is dead. Viola disguises herself as a man in order to serve in the court of Orsino, the Duke of Illyria, who sends her to woo the beautiful Countess Olivia on his behalf. Olivia is in mourning after the loss of her brother and has turned away all suitors, until she becomes instantly enamoured with Viola, now known as Cesario. Meanwhile, Olivia’s uncle, Sir Toby, decides to play a trick on her servant, Malvolio, with hilarious results, in this rollicking tale of mistaken identity and unrequited love. Specially adapted to meet the needs of young performers, this hour long production, carefully maintaining the integrity of one of Shakespeare’s most beloved comedies. Our junior acting course is a truly hectic week culminating in a performance for friends and family. In addition to staging a performance, participants will develop skills in:

The 6-11 Acting Holiday School takes place from 29th July - 2nd August 2013 at The Cotton Factory, 8 Vernon Street (off Dale Street), Liverpool, L2 2AY. The Holiday School runs from 10a.m. - 4p.m. Mon-Thurs and 10a.m. - 8p.m. on Friday.
